- From the responses I received from the survey, I found out that I need to be aiming to produce a magazine cover that appeals to students who have a common interest in fashion and music. This is good as it means I can target most students if I stick with these themes.
- People said they were only willing to pay 50 pence to £2.00 for the magazine.
- As I would be trying to feature music on the cover in the form of coverlines, we asked people what type of music they like. Many said R&B, pop and rock. I narrowed this down to the charts as other people will be interested in other types of music, so this way every one has some type of music they are interested in on my magazine cover. People said that they would like the magazine to be informal with more pictures than text to make it more interesting, and to see what is really happening instead of reading it and letting it drag on.
- As I will be featuring other issues outside of college, I tried to find out what people like to do in their spare time to see what things I could suggest people could do or how I could connect to my audience. I discovered that people like to socialise with there friends and go out to chill and relax.
- As this is still a college magazine cover, I would like to have college aspects in the magazine and on the cover, so I surveyed what subjects people like, and it showed mostly media, photography and graphics, which tend to be very art related subjects. This inspired me to do a very funky and futuristic cover.
- As for featuring college aspects, I will be advertising college trips for subjects and interesting things the subject can offer you in extra time if you're willing to put the time in to get out great experiences.
- People also wanted to know about parties, events, gossip and fashion. I think these topics reflect female students because more females were surveyed than males but I will incorporate male aspects for it to appeal to every one.
