I have chosen to use a working title of "buffoon's" for my music magazine. I have decided to use this title as it has significances to what I want my magazine to be about, which is a more weird/wild crazy genre, where the people featured are very unique and different to our average group of people. I also associate the title with a bit of stupidity, which i think a lot of today's music is about with crazy videos such as 303's "My first kiss" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYC2FUutdKA
When looking at demographics, i decided to first focus my attention towards gender. I decided that i could be more creative and experimental aiming more towards a female audience, but still have male aspects. I decided that i would have a rough statistics of around 70% female and 30% male. I decided upon this as i felt there was a place for the sort of magazine i have decided to do in the market, which people would be intrigued by. Another demographic i have been looking at is obviously the age of the reader I'm trying to attract, which is around 16-24, as i think this is when people discover what type of music they are truly into, and most commonly around the pupils i have spoken to they like their indie rock music more than the other genres, and also when I'm out and about you notice what people look like and listen to, and they have the appreciated look i want to feature in my magazine :) The magazine will be about gigs and music news combined with celebrity music artist disasters, because that always attracts attention. This will be an English magazine which covers global music news, which will appeal to a wider variety of people. With the audience i am appealing to, i will make the magazine so it has a average intellectual level, so it will enhance the fact of the audience i am aiming mostly for and still include other people that might not be stereotypically in the main audience i have aimed for. I will not introduce a income demographic as my audience wont be the main source of income for their household so it would be difficult to classify them into one.
