evaluation, question 3.

What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

My media product is more feminine, and it is aimed at 70% women and 30% men. When i first looked at making my media product i was more leaning towards creating a magazine like Kerrang and NME that more more male orientated. But then i decided that i could be more creative with a magazine aimed more for women, like Marie Claire but with a bit of a twist to make it more musical and a little less girlie, as i don't want to exclude my mail audience.

A media institution is some one that will totally support your product, and advertises pictures, TV programmes and other media products. A media institution that i think would be suitable to my type of magazine is V-Creative, which stands for Vortex Creative.
This media institution is a company that produce magazines like Health and Beauty, Pukka, Crew and Ambition. Even though none of these magazines are not exactly the most similar to mine, they are very easy going, and not to stereo-typical or one sided on audience.

This is a quote i took for the Vortex Creative website. "We have worked with some of the biggest names in the business up and down the country and our portfolio perfectly illustrates our versatility and attention to detail – whether producing an 8-page brochure or a 160-page magazine." This would help my magazine get sales, as they offer good prices, and they are flexible in what they produce. Also as i want to advertise worldwide events but still keep it a UK magazine, Vortex Creative quotes that they have worked with some of the biggest names, this shows they have contacts, which would be able to help advertise my magazine and what it has to offer.
